MEDWAY transports military vehicles

For the transport of military vehicles, MEDWAY performed a personalized train service, which traveled the route between Mangualde and Santa Margarida.

The train consisted of 14 wagons in the 3560 series, each wagon carrying two Pandur vehicles plus a 454 series platform wagon. In order to ensure transport security, two members of the specialized military teams followed this operation in detail, traveling on board the train and carrying out detailed inspections of the vehicles and moorings at various strategic points along the entire route.

With a length of approximately 320 meters of wagons plus locomotive, this train left Mangualde at the end of the 19th of November and arrived in Santa Margarida on the morning of the 20th of November.

The success of this operation was possible thanks to the close collaboration between the Portuguese Army, Portuguese Infrastructure and MEDWAY entities.
